Congrats Nicki! Last night at the 2014 BET Awards the “Starships” artist won Best Female Hip Hop Artist for the fifth year in a row, beating competitors Eve, Charli Baltimore, Angel Haze, and Iggy Azalea. In her lengthy, heart felt speech she discussed the love and appreciation she has for her supporters, revealed a lesson learned from a recent near death experience, and allegedly threw shade at “Fancy” rapper Iggy.
For a long time, there has been a widespread of rumors that Iggy uses ghostwriters for many of her songs.
“What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,” said the 31 year-old rapper. Nicki didn’t need to mention Iggy’s, 24, name for the world to know who she was aiming her shade towards.
What’s great about her comment is how she carried herself after…
With a pause to sip that tea she spilled!
…and to strike a fierce diva pose because, well, she’s Nicki!
After the audience roared, she continued with, “No, no, no shade, no, no, no shade.”
